Quick, privacy-safe help
NotiRecall Support
Start with the topic that matches what you see. Most capture issues can be checked directly on your device without sharing notification content.
What can we help with?
Notification Access
Enable or recheck Android access.
Capture not working
Check access, source choices, and phone restrictions.
Apps to remember
Enable common or newly seen sources.
Sensitive apps
Understand defaults and best-effort safeguards.
Search and retention
Find history and choose how long it stays.
App Lock
Protect the app with Android authentication.
Delete saved history
Remove one item, one source, older items, or all history.
Pro and purchases
Upgrading to Pro, restoring a purchase, and downgrade behavior.
Enable or check Notification Access
- Open NotiRecall and go to Settings → Capture Health.
- Select Open Android notification access.
- Find NotiRecall and turn access on.
- Return to NotiRecall and select Check again.
Notification Access is controlled by Android, not a normal in-app permission dialog. NotiRecall starts remembering only after access is on and a source is enabled. Earlier notifications cannot be recovered.
Capture is on, but a notification is missing
- Open Capture Health and select Check again.
- Confirm Notification access is on and Notification capture is ready.
- Open Settings → Notification sources and confirm the source is enabled.
- Check that the source app itself is allowed to post notifications.
- If your phone applies battery restrictions, use Check battery settings in Capture Health.
Android and phone manufacturers may interrupt capture after restarts, security changes, app updates, or battery restrictions. Muted, grouped, hidden, replaced, ongoing, or privacy-redacted notifications can also be incomplete or absent.
Choose which apps NotiRecall remembers
Open Settings → Notification sources. Turn on only the sources whose future eligible notifications you want saved.
Choose Choose apps on this device to open the picker and look up apps with a visible launcher entry in your current Android profile. Search filters that list immediately; typing and returning to the app do not trigger another device lookup. Discovery stays local and new apps remain off until you select them. Apps can also appear after sending a notification. NotiRecall does not scan your broad installed-app inventory or other profiles.
Turning a source off stops future capture. Existing history remains until its retention period ends or you delete it.
Banking, payment, authentication, and other sensitive apps
Sensitive sources are kept off by default and require fresh confirmation before being enabled. Notifications may contain financial, authentication, health, or personal information.
One-time-code filtering and sensitivity classification are best effort. They can miss sensitive content and can reject ordinary numeric messages. Do not rely on NotiRecall as an authenticator, financial record, or security archive.
Search history and change retention
Use the search field on the notification-history screen to find words present in saved titles or text. If content was hidden by Android or the source app, it cannot be searched.
Open Settings → Keep history for to choose one, three, or seven days with Free. Pro adds 30-day, 90-day, and unlimited local retention. Selecting a shorter period permanently removes older eligible history; background cleanup may take a little time to finish.
Turn on or troubleshoot App Lock
Open Settings → App lock, then choose Turn on app lock. Android will ask for a supported biometric or secure device screen lock. NotiRecall does not receive or store biometric or screen-lock data.
If authentication is unavailable, first configure a secure lock in Android Settings. App Lock protects what NotiRecall displays; encrypted local storage remains a separate protection.
Delete notification history
- Open a saved notification to delete that individual item.
- Use a source’s options in Settings to delete that source’s history.
- Use Delete by age or Clear all under Manage saved history.
- Uninstalling NotiRecall removes its app-private data through Android’s normal removal process.
Deletion is permanent. Source choices are preserved unless you separately change them.
Pro, pricing, purchases, and restore
NotiRecall Pro is available now as an optional one-time Google Play purchase in the Android app. It unlocks unlimited remembered apps and 30-day, 90-day, or unlimited local retention, with no subscription.
The eligible offer and localized price appear only when Google Play returns them. A completed purchase or restore becomes active only after content-free verification succeeds. A recently verified entitlement can remain available offline for no more than seven days.
After Google Play and NotiRecall verify that Pro access ended, a fixed 30-day downgrade period begins. Existing remembered apps and history stay available during that period, but new Pro-only choices are paused. If more than three apps are enabled, you choose which three to keep; after the deadline and a fresh verification, history older than seven days is removed. Restoring a valid purchase cancels the pending downgrade.
Google Play handles payment and refund requests under its own rules. Do not send payment-card, banking, receipt, purchase-token, or order information to support.
